About me

I have worked as an independent auditor and consultant since 2022. Before that I spent more than fifteen years at an international certification group, as an auditor, business unit leader and certification director in the different markets where the group operates: Portugal, Brazil and Spain.

I have been a third-party Chain of Custody auditor for FSC and PEFC, and for ISO 9001 quality management systems, since 2009. Since 2023 I have audited against NP 4552 – Sistema de Gestão da Conciliação entre a Vida Profissional, Familiar e Pessoal and Rainforest Alliance Supply Chain. In 2026 I qualified as a third-party auditor for the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and for NP 4590 – Sistema de gestão do bem-estar e felicidade organizacional.

My interest in certification against sustainability standards began during my university studies and was nurtured and consolidated by postgraduate and executive master's programmes. My liking for social responsibility standards came naturally over the course of my professional experience, from seeing how these systems improve people's lives and organisational performance.

I have been an associate member of FSC Portugal and FSC España, seated in the economic chamber, since 2025.

I have audited public and private sector organisations in Portugal, Spain and Brazil.

I work in Portuguese, Spanish and English, with clients in Portugal and Spain, on site and remotely.

Impartiality: I keep my consultancy and internal audit work separate from my work as a third-party auditor: I do not carry out external certification audits for organisations to which I have provided consultancy or internal audit services.
